              Individualized Literacy Tutoring (45 minutes)
This course, which focuses on the Science of Reading, is tailored to meet the individual needs of students in grades K-12.
Key Components:
- Personalized Assessment: Each student begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify their current reading level and specific areas for improvement. This ensures that instruction is tailored to meet individual needs. 
- Foundational Skills: Focus on essential reading skills, including phonics, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies. Students will gain the tools needed to decode words, understand meaning, and make connections within texts. 
- Reading Fluency: Emphasis on improving reading speed, accuracy, and expression. Students will practice reading aloud and receive feedback to build confidence and proficiency 
- .Comprehension Strategies: Development of critical thinking skills through guided reading sessions. Students will learn to summarize, infer, predict, and analyze texts, enhancing their ability to understand and interpret written material. 
- Engaging Materials: A diverse selection of reading materials, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and informational texts. This variety keeps students motivated and exposes them to different genres and writing styles. 
- Progress Tracking: Students will be assessed through observation, tests, and discussions, to monitor growth and adjust instruction as needed. Parents and guardians will receive updates (oral + assessment data) on their child's progress and areas for continued focus. 
- Supportive Environment: A nurturing and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. Our goal is to build confidence and foster a lifelong love for reading.
